Getting Motivated Starts With an Idea

Getting motivated can be easy staying motivated can be hard. You start out strong looking forward to your project and before you know it you have given up and another project hits the dust. There are ways that will not only get you motivated but will help you to stay motivated as well. These are:

1.See your success
2.Write it down
3.Begin
4.Celebrate reaching your goals or completing a step
5.Do not let the slump begin

It is important that you see in your mind what your success will look like. Every dream begins with one thought. A picture comes into the mind that sets of the spark of motivation. Take it further and see yourself as having completed your project. It does not matter if it is losing weight, writing a book or creating a successful online business, see it in your mind and you will achieve it.

Write it down. Write down what it is that you want to do. Underneath the title write out what it will take in order to complete the project. Break it down into small goals or steps that you know you will be able to complete. Set a date for it to be completed. Then begin, nothing is ever completed if it is not first began.

Once you have reached that goal or completed that step then it is time to celebrate. Celebrating the completion of a step or reaching a goal shows you that you are on the road to success. This helps you look forward to the next celebration.

Do not let the slump begin. One small it will not hurt to miss today can cause you to lose the motivation you need. Even if you do not want to go ahead and work on the project, you will feel better when you do rather than feel bad because you slumped off.

Opportunities For Marketing Using Twitter

Everybody’s talking about Facebook and the opportunities for work promoting your brand or business but we can’t forget about Twitter. Twitter actually provides a unique opportunity for promotion that is not available on Facebook.

Most people see Twitter simply as a micro-blogging platform that allows them to post short snippets of information. This is accurate. But it is not all that all this application is about. In fact, it is not the most powerful of it.

Unlike Facebook, Twitter allows you to search on keywords and find conversations that are taking place on any topic and in any geographical area. Wow, are you starting to see the power of this application? Be careful though. Don’t make the mistake of finding these conversations and then heading over and making a sales pitch. That’ll be the biggest mistake of your life.

The key is to use these conversations to build relationships and connect with people in real way. For example, let’s say you are a personal injury attorney and you find a Twitter conversation where someone is asking questions having to do with the personal injury situation. It is important that you not immediately tried to sell them on a consultation or promote your practice in some way. Provide real advice and answered questions and make recommendations without selling yourself and if you do that they will start to see you as a trusted expert and there is a good chance it will seek you out and ask you for a professional consultation without you asking them. When that happens you have the customer and a friend for life. It is so much more powerful than a direct sales approach.

Building Your Brand And Marketing On Facebook

These days it seems almost everyone is Facebook crazy. It is no doubt one of the most popular websites of all time. Take some time and look around my room waiting in line at the store were sitting in the doctor’s waiting room. People are updating and browsing Facebook from their smart phones. It’s not surprising that professionals and business owners see this as an amazing opportunity to use Facebook to grow their business.

The problem is so many professionals and business owners are going about it entirely wrong. That may be why they’re also not seeing the results they expected. In order to understand what works right promotional and branding perspective on Facebook and with social media in general we have to understand the appeal of this new medium.

People are not going to Facebook to hear promotional messages or advertising. In fact, the opposition to promotional messages on social media is fierce. The social media and try hard sell and you will not only be ignored but more likely blocked in a heartbeat.

The key to promoting your business on Facebook is to forget about promoting your business and think about connecting with people and providing real value. Don’t go to Facebook and post a sales message. Go on Facebook to provide valuable content to your followers. If you are an insurance agent then consider posting links to informative articles or videos about how to choose life insurance.

If you are a podiatrist and you might consider creating videos and posting them on Facebook that educate on bunions or some other foot disease. This type of content that creates followers and build your brand in people’s minds. When you go on there with the intention of providing high quality informative content for the end reader not only will people look forward to your post but they will share them within their own networks as well. And that real power of social media comes into play.
